GedTool ist eine Sammlung von EXCEL-Makros zur Bearbeitung von GEDCOM-Dateien. Alle Makros werden von einer gemeinsamen Menüoberfläche angestartet. Mit GedTool können GEDCOM-Dateien in eine Excel-Tabelle umgewandelt, dort verändert und wieder als GEDCOM-Datei zurückgeschrieben werden. Das Shareware-Programm GedTool wurde mit VBA-Makros (Visual Basic for Application) auf Basis von Excel 97 erstellt.

Family trees are imported into TreeDraw from "Kith and Kin Pro" (and "Of that Ilk Pro") databases or from GEDCOM files produced by other genealogy programs. After importing the tree data, you can re-arrange the tree and add extra text and graphics before storing or printing.
